Is Tachanun said in Nissan?
For the entire month of Nissan, we do not say tachanun or vidui (for Sefardim), since the month of Nissan is considered to be a happy month due to the many positive and joyful events that occurred in Nissan.
On Rosh Chodesh Nissan was the chanukat hamishkan. On Nissan 2-12, the heads of each shevet brought the special inaugural korbanot. The 13th of Nissan was called isru chag of the inauguration of the mishkan. Nissan 14 is erev Pesach. Nissan 15-21 are the days of the chag of Pesach, and Nissan 22 is isru chag of Pesach. The last week of Nissan is considered a special time as well, as the Gemara teaches that the inauguration of the third beit hamikdash will take place then.
