A blood spot found after cooking

What should be done with the pot if a blood spot is found in the egg(s) after cooking?
If it is a non-fertilized egg, as most eggs are these days, the egg needs to be thrown away and the pot it was cooked in should be set aside for 24 hours before being used again. After 24 hours, no further kashering is required.
However, if it is a fertilized egg, the pot will also require kashering with the process of hagalat keilim (immersing it in boiling hot water) after being set aside for 24 hours.
